An authentic account of full-time van life in the UK

Hi, and welcome to Van Life Diaries. I’m Elton, a 50 something year old photographer, website designer and social media manager who is currently undertaking a long-term photography project with the goal of documenting as much of the world in images and video as I can.

I have been undertaking this project and van life adventure since August 2021 after selling my home and majority of possessions. In years since this experience begun I have experience many highs and several lows.

I am travelling with a 14 year old Staffordshire Terrier, Shaka whom I have had in my life since he was 8 weeks old. He is riddled with ailments and as a result I have made the decision that until his time comes to cross the rainbow, we will restrict our travels to the United Kingdom.

I do hope you will join us on this journey where I will bring you van life, photography and travel related content. As a photographer, I am very keen on history so love visiting old architectural buildings like churces, castles, cathedrals, neolithic sites etc. In addition to historical sites I will also visit many tourist attractions, share stunning landscapes around the world and try to capture as much wildlife images that I can.
